How to Find Your Own Food and Body Bliss.

The past month or more I have felt as if I have entered a new dimension and new time. Can you feel it too?
I have been contemplating this transformation and I want to share with you how food has been the catalyst.
The past month I have eaten a ton of raw foods prepared by Omar's Living Cuisine (located in Sugarhouse, a suburb of SLC.)
What is raw or living cuisine? Raw food is more than uncooked raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. There is something magical and divine about this food.
The first ingredient is LOVE, the second is Light (sun), the third is Prana energy. Add some spices, bless it, breathe and enjoy.
A tiny sample of Amanda's Personal Food History:
In Sept 2002 to late March of 2003, I went on the raw diet because I thought that eating 100% raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds would cure me of all of my food issues, unhealthy food cravings, and help me lose weight.
The first four months eating raw was amazing. I lost weight, discovered some amazing recipes and learned new ways to nurture myself. Actually eating live fresh vegetables was a powerful awakening and spiritual experience which connected me to my body and the earth in a profound way.
Then it became a strict, socially isolating, forceful, very controlled way of being. The Catholic guilt of my youth plagued me. I felt like I needed to be 100 percent RAW or I wasn't good enough.
When I finally kicked the raw diet (and all of the restrictions) to the curb, I felt as if I was freed from prison and I proceeded to eat everything I wanted, and in time I gained all of the weight back and again I found myself struggling with my body image and feeling good in my body.
Have you ever done this?
I was resistant to the raw way for several years and now I have rekindled the good parts of this magical way of eating.
Now, I feel light, beautiful, healthy, happy, alive, vibrant, radiant and in LOVE with everyone and with life. I am filled with joy, peace and gratitude.
This time eating raw is easy. My body craves Omar's Living Cuisine more than anything. There are no restrictions, goals or agendas for eating raw now. I am simply listening to my body and feed it what it wants!
I find myself in the presence of this gentle, loving, gracious raw food bar every day. It is my health insurance. My bliss. My ticket to love and the fountain of youth.
It feels so good to listen, trust and respect my body's wisdom.
I have made it! Now I AM more than totally free with food. I have found the master key to live a radiant health life. It is a personal journey. And my intention for sharing this piece of personal food history with you is to inspire, motivate and uplift you to find your very own BLISS, your very own version of Radiant Health!
Like any journey you must realize how far you have come.
With that said, I have an assignment for you.
Write your own food/body story.
Think and write about the food you ate as a kid, as a
teen, college student, your single life, you married life, if/when you had children etc.
Make a food and body timeline. Be creative and enjoy this process. It may take some time to write your own food/body story.
When were you at your best? Your prettiest,healthiest,strongest, happiest self? What was going on in your life then?
What are the foods that you know drain and drag you down? Make you cranky, irritable and tired?
What foods make you feel light? Thin? Radiant? Strong?
It's not all about the food, you have to look at every aspect of your life because you will crave different foods at different times in your life.
When you find your food and body and mind bliss you:
1) Wake up
2) Believe in yourself
3) Feel free
4) Love and nourish yourself like never before
5) Listen, trust, respect and adore your body as the temple or the divine vehicle of your soul
6) Radiate positivity, joy and bliss
7) Believe in the magic of the universe because you feel it coursing through your veins
8) Attract abundance in all ways into your life
9) Meet amazing, beautiful people who mirror you
10) Exude confidence and strength

Radiant Recipe

Amanda's Live Avocado Soup
Ingredients:
2 organic carrots
2 stalks organic celery
1 large avocado
1 cup organic spinach
1 teaspoon tamari
1 organic lemon, juice of
2 Tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 inch ginger
Directions:
Chop the carrots and celery into small pieces. Put all ingredients in a high-powered blender or food processor and blend!
